WordPress & Web Development
Custom WordPress architecture using Oxygen Builder, CPT UI, and ACF Pro. Every build is themeless, version-controlled, and documented so your team can manage content without touching code.
Learn more →Custom WordPress platforms, AI-optimised architecture, and e-commerce builds for Hong Kong businesses and international clients who need a site that performs, not just one that looks good at the handover meeting.
In 2012, Hong Kong's web agency market had a clear gap. Agencies that charged enterprise rates delivered enterprise-quality work. Agencies that charged affordably delivered templated, unmaintained, underperforming sites. There was almost nothing in between that a serious small or medium business could rely on.
DOOD was founded to close that gap. The founding principle was simple: charge fairly, build properly, and treat every client's platform as if it were your own business running on it. Fourteen years later that principle still determines every decision we make, from how we price a project to how we handle a support call at 11pm.
Today we work with clients across retail, legal, biotech, media, hospitality, and professional services in Hong Kong and internationally. Our scope has expanded from pure web development into AI search optimisation, answer engine visibility, and managed infrastructure, but the fundamentals have not moved. We build platforms that perform for the businesses running them.
Six interconnected disciplines covering the full lifecycle of a web platform, from initial architecture and UX design through to launch, AI search visibility, and long-term technical maintenance. Each one is handled in-house, which means no quality loss at the handoff between agency partners and no version of your brief getting lost in translation.

Learn more →Platforms built to be cited by AI answer engines, not just indexed by search crawlers. We implement structured data, entity clarity, and content architecture that makes your site a source AI platforms trust and reference.
Learn more →Crawlability audits, Core Web Vitals remediation, schema markup implementation, internal linking architecture, and indexing strategy. We address the technical foundations that determine whether your content reaches the people searching for it.
Learn more →User journey mapping, information architecture, and responsive visual design built to WCAG 2.1 AAA standards. We design for the person using the site, not for the award submission.
Learn more →WooCommerce builds with custom product templates, multi-currency support, local Hong Kong payment gateways including FPS and bank transfer, edition tracking, and multilingual storefront configuration for cross-border retail.
Learn more →Managed WordPress hosting with 99.9% uptime SLA, automated backups, Wordfence security hardening, plugin update management with pre-update staging, and monthly performance reports. Infrastructure that runs quietly so your business does not have to think about it.
Learn more →Most agencies oversell and underdeliver. Here is the exact sequence of how a DOOD project runs from first contact to a live platform.
We spend the first meeting understanding your business, your audience, and what success looks like for this platform. We ask about revenue model, content ownership, integration requirements, and growth plans. By the end we have enough to scope the project accurately, not approximately.
Custom code, not adapted templates. Every platform is engineered to your specific requirements, tested across devices, and optimised for performance before it goes anywhere near a live environment.
During the build we send structured updates covering what was completed, what is next, and any decisions we need your input on. When we recommend a technical approach, we explain the reasoning and the trade-offs so you can make an informed call, not just approve something you do not understand.
Before launch we document every custom function, every third-party integration, and every content management workflow. We run a training session covering how to manage your platform day to day. The first 90 days post-launch include a scheduled check-in to review performance data and address anything that needs adjustment in a live environment.
Search has changed more in the last two years than in the previous decade. AI Overviews, GEO, AEO, and LLM visibility are not optional extras. We build these requirements into every platform we deliver because your clients are already using AI to find you.
Production incidents get a same-day response. We have a defined escalation path: automated monitoring fires first, then the infrastructure team assesses, then the relevant engineer patches. You receive a plain-language incident report covering what happened, what was fixed, and what was changed to prevent recurrence.
We hire specialists, not generalists who dabble across disciplines. Each person on the DOOD team owns a specific area of the stack and is accountable for the quality of work that leaves their hands. That accountability is what separates a platform built by DOOD from one assembled by a project manager coordinating four separate subcontractors.
Oxygen Builder, custom plugin development, WooCommerce architecture, REST API integration, and performance engineering. Minimum five years production WordPress experience required to join this team.
Information architecture, wireframing, responsive UI design, and accessibility auditing. Every design decision is validated against WCAG 2.1 AAA contrast and interaction standards before a single line of code is written.
Technical SEO auditing, structured data implementation, GEO and AEO strategy, and LLM citation analysis. Tracking not just where pages rank but whether they are being cited by AI answer engines in response to relevant queries.
Server configuration, uptime monitoring, automated backup protocols, security hardening, and incident response. Responsible for keeping production environments stable, fast, and protected around the clock.
WooCommerce configuration, payment gateway integration for Hong Kong and international processors, inventory management systems, and conversion rate analysis. Focused on the transactional layer that turns traffic into revenue.
Client onboarding, scope documentation, milestone tracking, quality gate sign-off, and handover coordination. Each project manager owns a defined client portfolio and is the single point of contact from kick-off through to post-launch review.
From the first brief to the post-launch maintenance retainer, you deal with the same project manager. No account reassignments, no re-explaining your business to a new face every six months.
The average DOOD client has been with us for more than three years. That tenure happens because we treat each platform as an ongoing investment, not a completed deliverable. We proactively flag issues, recommend improvements, and propose new work when it is genuinely warranted.
We scope thoroughly before we price. What is in the quote is what gets built. Scope changes are discussed and agreed before any additional cost is incurred. Clients are never presented with a surprise invoice at handover.
When we make a technical or strategic recommendation, we explain why it matters for your specific business. Over time, clients who work with DOOD develop a genuine understanding of their own platform and what drives its performance. That knowledge stays with them regardless of who manages the site in future.
Cross-browser testing, mobile responsiveness checks, accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AAA, Core Web Vitals benchmarking, and a full content review are completed before any site goes live. What you receive at handover is a finished platform, not a working draft.
Listed because we use them daily, not because they look good on a credentials page. Our production stack is built around WordPress, AI-driven search visibility, and measurable performance.
